Hari Ini Aku Poyo
It's 3.48 am and some dogs are barking outside. I stared at the screen wanting to write about how much I love 'ulam' but I couldn't because I don't eat vegetables most of the time unless I go to this one fellow's house that loves vegetables so much. Well at least I just need to pretend how much I love 'ulam' and why consuming it makes me look 15 years younger or at least makes my face look 'tegang macam kompang' or 'tegang sebab sentiasa berwudhu'. Yeah right!
I've been having writer's block for god knows how many days already.Four articles need to be sent out before Thursday and I'll be damned if I don't finish it off in time.
I couldn’t help it but being ‘poyo’ all these while and someone might just vomit when he stumbles into this. Well, maybe not. At times people could easily misunderstood why I could be so in love with this particular someone whilst they are not fully aware how hard it is for me to at least truly love someone who is not a family member.I feel that it's hard to let go but I'm not sure whether it's worth to hang on with.
A few conflicts here and there that adds up to all the mess in my brain makes me wish hard that I have magic wand to smooth things out. Knowing that someone sees me as a psycho doesn't help to boost my morale at time like this.Even watching American Psycho at 3am didn't offer me much solutions except that I feel the urge to doodle on my notebook. Unfortunately I could only draw matchstick man if not it might have become a masterpiece in 20 years. I wish!
Until I am out of my writer’s block, do pray that at least I shall be granted brilliant ideas on what to write about by Thursday!
P/S: decided to be back in telco. Couldn’t help it but the offer is too tempting to resist hahaha!
Patrick Bateman in American Psychotelah lama kau pergi dariku
telah lama kau tinggalkan aku
dan aku pun masih menunggu
dan aku pun masih menunggu
kau kembali tapi bukan untukku
rasa hati masih tetap untuk mu
salahkah bila hati berharap
dan aku pun masih berharap
kau yang terindah untukku
kau yang terindah untukku
kau yang terindah untukku
kau yang terindah untukku
dan aku masih tetap untukmu
aku masih disini untukmu
rasa hati masih untuk yang terindah
kau yang terindah untukku
kau yang terindah untukku..

Akan bertumpahnya darah (tajuk takde kene mengene ngan cerita..cuma aku agak suka keganjilan bunyi ayat ini)
After a month working in a new position
- Realize that some times solicitors and advocates are stupid moron (o^O)
- Kiss the right senior partner’s ass and they’ll come to see you and offer you advice. Hence, bigger chances to get increment after 6 months probation
- Translator is not a machine translation. That’s why I couldn’t tell you that hatchet job is “selaran” within 5 seconds.
- Check the client that’s paying you for your part time translation work. You might end up doing translation for a casino and when you get the pay you feel doubt about the source and end up feeling stress. Well for me at least.%^*()_+

Sembang Pagi
1.18 am
Mata aku masih buntang
Patutnya aku mengejar dateline kerja
Tapi macam biasa aku selalu tersasar tujuan
Mana mungkin aku menolak peluang berdiskusi dengan Megat
Dia suka berdiskusi, aku suka berdiskusi
Mungkin kami ditakdirkan suka berdiskusi berdua
Kerana tiada siapa mahu mendengar topik bicara kami
Memerhatikan abah aku bersama murid-muridnya
Abah tidak suka mengajar aku
Dia fikir aku degil dan dia terkadang hilang sabar apabila mengajar aku
Mat Isa,
J-i-b-u-n..J-o-h-a-n cikgu
Salah Mat Isa..
Saya tak tau cikgu
Pelan-pelan
Aku sudah menyumpah di belakang pintu
Aduh!bengapnya Mat Isa ni
J-o-h-a-n la Mat Isa jerit aku
Sudahnya aku pulak yang di tempelak abah
Jangan ganggu budak-budak ni!
Aku sedih campur cemburu
Abah aku lagi senang mengajar mereka dari aku!

Untitled
If you are wondering why Casey Affleck is nominated in the supporting act category for this movie, please watch it ASAP. Though deep down I was hoping that Brad Pitt would be nominated instead but of course I have to accept the fact that Casey Affleck deserves it.(plastic sangat
My favourite scene is when Jesse James (Brad Pitt) says to Robert Ford (Casey Affleck) while Robert’s brother Charley Ford (Sam Rockwell) is looking at them both : The picture is kind of dirty and Jesse takes chair and stand on it to clean up the picture of a black stallion that hangs on the wall. Jesse then see the reflection on the mirror that Charley has already point his gun at Jesse and he knows that he’s going to die soon. Marvellous!
A beautiful narration from the movie:
He was ashamed of his persiflage, his boasting, his pretensions of courage and ruthlessness; he was sorry about his cold-bloodedness, his dispassion, his inability to express what he now believed was the case- that he truly regretted killing Jesse, that he missed the man as much as anybody and wished his murder hadn't been necessary. Even as he circulated his saloon he knew that the smiles disappeared when he passed by. He received so many menacing letters that he could read them without any reaction except curiosity. He kept to his apartment all day, flipping over playing cards, looking at his destiny in every King and Jack. Edward O'Kelly came up from Bachelor at one P.M. on the 8th. He had no grand scheme. No strategy. No agreement with higher authorities. Nothing but a vague longing for glory, and a generalized wish for revenge against Robert Ford. Edward O'Kelly would be ordered to serve a life sentence in the Colorado Penitentiary for second degree murder. Over seven thousand signatures would eventually be gathered in a petition asking for O'Kelly's release, and in 1902, Governor James B. Ullman would pardon the man. There would be no eulogies for Bob, no photographs of his body would be sold in sundries stores, no people would crowd the streets in the rain to see his funeral cortege, no biographies would be written about him, no children named after him, no one would ever pay twenty-five cents to stand in the rooms he grew up in. The shotgun would ignite, and Ella May would scream, but Robert Ford would only lay on the floor and look at the ceiling, the light going out of his eyes before he could find the right words.
It just occurred to me yesterday that I don’t have anymore weekends until I settle my freelance work which is scheduled to wrap in 20 March 2008 which I work simultaneously with other projects. I was putting on my sun block this morning before I went to work and how I suddenly let out a piercing shriek when I realized how terrible my eye bags had become. Maybe I should save up my money for botox or perhaps start having tempeh everyday like one of the MB told the public when asked about rumours of him having botox injected to make him looks 10 years younger. Duh!

This is the life!
Aloha boys and girls
I have abandoned my blog since December and it is such a joy to find the time to write again.
For some reasons, I have been occupied with lots of things lately, both in my permanent and freelance work. At the moment it feels like everything works according to plan but we’ll see how it goes. It’s just February anyway so I suppose it’s better if I leave everything in god’s hand.
Already in my second week in the new position that I thought would be less stressful but actually not.The location is far from my place but quite convenient to get there. I have no boss (yeayyyyyyy!) and no colleagues, but supervised by a senior partner than I only see once a week if he wants to give me special instructions i.e translating 42 pages of affidavit in 4 hours. Ampeh betol! As punctuality is listed at the fourth paragraph in my offer letter, of course I feel nervous if I reach Bangsar LRT station at 8am.Second week in the company and I already got 1 red dot in my punch card. Bleurghhhhh!Yes, we have punch card here in the company as well as a tea lady who serves drinks twice a day. Once, she came over to my place and offered me coffee and I politely said no because I bought some juice and brought it to work. Guess what? In the afternoon she didn’t offer me anymore drink. Lesson learnt so every time she offers I just accept it hahahaha.
I briefly have contacts with people in my position now. But when I do something funny would happen. As some one very dear said to me I am Diva Dizaz (Disaster). Luckily this time it wasn’t me that was disastrous.
Legally blonde : Hi Kak..(Kak?Aiyoh keji tau ko nie)
Kekure : Hey there.
Legally blonde : I’m the pupil. My name is Miss XXXX
Kekure : I’m the translator. You can call me XXXX. Nice to meet you Miss XXXX
Legally blonde : Same here. Any ways are you busy now?
Kekure : Yeah. Got dateline in one hour. Senior partner wants this document in 1 hour.
Legally blonde : Oh, I got things to be translated too.
Kekure : Is it urgent? Can you wait? You can just leave the documents here and I’ll sort it out after I finish this one(at this point I was already irritated and feeling a bit cranky as the senior’s secretary kept bugging me every half an hour. Nak cepat ko buat sendiri la
Legally blonde : Maybe I can use the pc in next cubicle and I just ask you directly if I have any questions?
Kekure : Sure. I’m cool with that. (Apa-apa jek la labu..aku dah malas nak layan ko)
After 2 minutes
Legally blonde : Aka (you can tell what race is it with this word. Sorry, it might offend someone)
Kekure : Yeap. What’s the problem?
Legally blonde : The monitor is blank (please read in bimbo tone)
Kekure : Have you switched it on?
Legally blonde : Yes I did. Can you come over and see what seems to be the problem.
Kekure then reluctantly got up and walked to next cubicle to save legally blonde from doom.
Legally blonde : See, told you that the pc is not working.
Kekure : Yes it’s not working because you didn’t push the on button dear! (She just switched on the onitor but not the CPU for god sake!)
This one happened to my colleague that works in It dept.
Legally blonde : My computer got virus one. When I type only gibberish will come out. See?
(At this point legally blonde was demonstrating it to my colleague)
IT : Oh ok. Can you move aside so I can check it out?
Legally blonde : Sure. Have a seat. (got up and brought her book along)
IT : It’s ok now. You can use the laptop. No problem at all it seems.
Legally blonde : Eh, how come ah? Just now when I type type only gibberish what?
IT : Oh that one? Of course la
Legally blonde : Oh ya ka?

Rambles, Shambles or both?
My Favorite Video from FunnyorDie.com
http://www.warlordsthemovie.com/Warlords
I went to watch this movie alone so you know I could concentrate on the hunkies. Well, this movie has lots of actions and I don’t care much you see. What’s important to me is that I want to see Takeshi Kaneshiro with his shirt off but since it’s a period movie and the setting is during the winter so of course Takeshi Kaneshiro couldn’t take his shirt off and I think life is so focking unfair right or he might die of pneumonia. I like the poster very much you know. At first I thought Andy Lau is so hunky in this movie right but after a while I think Jet Li is hunkier. But all along I know Takeshi Kaneshiro is the hunkiest. I love you Takeshi Kanena. Muah! Muah!
The only woman in this movie is the girl that I don’t know about. Like I focking care whether she’s hot or not but thank god she could act. Well why should I bothered right? So long as I could see Andy Lau, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Jet Li in one movie than I’ll be more than happy to spend my Friday night in GSC Berjaya Times Square to watch them in action. This movie is basically about brotherhood right. Jet Li lose his army in a war then he meets Andy Lau and Takeshi Kaneshiro who are bandits then they take him as their brother after he slashes off a man’s throat. I find it to be so sexy when Jet Li says: Remember my face. Have your revenge in the next life. Or something likes it. Jet Li is the highly ambitious among them three, Andy Lau is the one with the girl that Jet Li also loves and the girl loves them both but she loves Jet Li more but Andy Lau doesn’t know that because he’s busy robbing the army to get their food provisions and Takeshi Kaneshiro is the one who ever so loyal to the oath that he’s willing to do anything to sustain the brotherhood and seriously into the brotherhood and all. Then comes the girl, the wars and everything in between that make them grow apart and become enemy. Jet Li wants to win the war and ever the usual follow your nose type, Andy Lau wants to be the hero and Takeshi Kaneshiro totally rocks as Jet Li’s right man but still want to be brother with Andy Lau whom Jet Li thought wants to steal the limelight from him. There a lots of war scenes right and you can see some of the tactics used to be a bit over the top. Luckily at that time they couldn’t sue people or else the empress might have lost all her money for all the armies and their families might want to sue the empress for sending them to battle for years and have to starve for months because of the strategy is to surround the city until the other party surrender. Whatever! Like I care right?
What I like about the movie is its fast and I don’t feel bored right. It shows some focking gore actions and I totally love the war’s scene. But I shall give the movie 5 stars for it have the most close ups of Takeshi Kaneshiro. Yeayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! The narration is also done by Takeshi Kaneshiro. His voice is so manly right but I thank god for he has stops singing. At the end of the movie you will find that there is no black or white but only shade of grey.

Movie
What would the projectionist do when he realize that the movie playing is uncensored? He shut the projection with his hand harhar har. Went to watch euro film fest with habri, hazera and oatte the other day. In the movie store planner one of the characters works as a hooker and she was washing the dildos while singing.I was enjoying the movie and my brain was applauding our censorship board for being a bit lenient towards this movie when the screen suddenly went blank.Oh my!Kudos to the projectionist who acted fast in order not to pollute the minds of 10+ patrons who watched the movie.

Misión Cumplida

I am on emergency leave today. Second time since I started working in the new company. When you have to do things that are repetitive day in and day out then I suppose you will also be doing the same thing? Taking unofficial day off like emergency leave will be a norm. Trust me.
My contract is going to end in 2 weeks and I have informed my manic superior that I have no slightest intention to continue for another month. 3 months is enough for me. My brain is dead and I am losing my capability to think out of the box. Literally!
Come to think of it, I shall write about my superior then. At least I could lessen the urge to throw her out of the window from the 36th floor everyday when I go to work and have to see her sour face. She really is a devil and I am the 6th persons who have to work with her and feel bullied everyday. Well, one girl just left after working with her for one day. I think that’s enough to prove how mean she could be. (Note: Please refer to my last post on my VP. The superior’s evilness is 100 times higher than hers or they both could be at the same level at times depending on the seriousness of the issues that they both have to settle for the board of directors).
She screamed at me the other day for she felt that I have opted not to communicate with her which is true. When I first joined in the department, she kept repeating to me that I shall never mingle with others as she is afraid that my mind could easily be poisoned. In a way she is always so manipulative that she told me sometime ago about lots of people have lodged complaints against me at the Employee Relations Unit. I happened to see our HR Manager at the surau and asked her about it. The reply that I got was my superior is a psychotic and love to make things up so that people will follow her lead. No one lodged complaints against me and she simply made things up so that I would work until my brain had hemorrhage and I collapsed to death for.
Another thing is that she always treats me and demands me to work as her secretary which I am not. She is not entitled for a secretary but you know how a control freak could be. So I was hired to be her secretary cum department administrator cum junior clerk cum document controller cum dispatch as I would have to go to Bursa Malaysia to send documents. I don’t really mind having to go to Bursa as I could take some time off to go t o JCO hahahahha. It really is wearisome not only to do things that you are not hired for but also doing simple repetitive tasks like photocopying or sending documents which is no brainy job. I had the guts to tell her the other day when she complained about how my ex bosses had given me good recommendations during the background check before the company hired me. She felt like my ex bosses had bluffed about my reputations and thus I was not as good as she expected me to be. I tried to let my frustration out with so much carefulness for I was scared that as a woman her delicate feelings could easily be hurt.
No matter how hard I tried not to make her mad, I was fighting a losing battle. When she asked me why she couldn’t bring out the best in me, I simply said to her that the tasks given were no brainy jobs and she was supposed to hire a junior clerk or a fresh graduate instead. But as I mentioned before that she is a manipulator, she answered by saying that I haven’t learnt the whole process in the department which really annoys me. How long do I have to do the photocopying and walking around sending the doecuments from 25th floor to the 40th floor? And with that I told her that I longer interested to work there and I shall end my 3 months contract and it would be best if she could find a replacement so that I could do a proper hand over. Till today, no replacement is found and perhaps they would have to wait for another 50 candidates to come for interview since there is one position as technical writer that has been vacant for months and HR managed to get 50 candidates but all of them had been rejected by her. Among her excuses were : the candidate is a psychopath, she looks damn weird and the girl doesn't know how to speak good english.
I know I hardly write anything decent or worth reading or a far cry from discussing a serious matter. But today I can’t help it but to write about the cover story of the magazine : Citizen Nurhaliza Is Siti the only impeccable role model left in Malaysian public life?
I mean, seriously. Is it true that she’s the only role model left? If it’s true then I truly feel sorry that on our 50th day or Merdeka we only have Siti to be hailed as our role model. I have nothing against her nor looking down on her for not being able to speak English like some of my friends suspect. But why does it have to be Siti? I have lots of other people that I believe could easily pass as impeccable role model. I wish someone could enlighten me on this matter.
I went to watch P Ramlee the musical with a few friends. Siti was acting in it as Azizah. Without having any expectations on the musical as I am still in love with Puteri Gunung Ledang which I believe left very big shoes to fill in, I waited for Siti. I wasn’t that impress by her acting though for some people her beautiful voice could make up for such a bad acting.
Melissa Saila completely blew my mind. Kudos to her for being so bitchy! It seemed like the critics had proven themselves wrong by saying that she is the weakest link in the musical. I guess I don’t need to mention who is the weakest of them all.
It is sad to think that we don’t have any impeccable role models left to be proud of.
Kekure in melancholic mode
November is here again and as usual I will always try not to look at the calendar. So many things happened in November in years that passed. At times I feel like the song entitled November Rain sung by G n R was actually written for me kwang3. Any how, it’s already 3 years since abah passed away and one of my bff’s wedding anniversaries. I supposed my bff (or perhaps former bff) celebrated the anniversary with a bang as he now has a new member in his family. Congratulations!
I close both locks below the window
I close both blinds and turn away
Sometimes solutions aren't so simple
Sometimes good bye's the only away
And the sun will set for you
The sun will set for you
And the shadow of the day
Will embrace the world in grey
And the sun will set for you
In cards and flowers on your window
Your friends all plead for you to stay
Sometimes beginnings aren't so simple
Sometimes good bye's the only way
And the sun will set for you
The sun will set for you
And the shadow of the day
Will embrace the world in grey
And the sun will set for you
And the shadow of the day
Will embrace the world in grey
And the sun will set for you
And the shadow of the day
Will embrace the world in grey
And the sun will set for you

For the singles out there
Munajat Cinta - The Rock Feat Ahmad Dhani
here's the lyric so that you can sing along
Malam ini ku sendiri
tak ada yang menemani
seperti malam malam
yang sudah sudah
Hati ini selalu sepi
Tak ada yang menghiasi
Seperti cinta ini
Yang slalu pupus
Tuhan kirimkanlah aku
Kekasih yang baik hati
Yang mencintai aku
Apa adanya…
Mawar ini semakin layu
Tak ada yang memiliki
Seperti aku ini
Semakin pupus…

Selamat Hari Raya!
Work
I was given an earlier leave from my boss since she was going to take her leave starting from Tuesday. It was such a relief at first when I came to learn that I’d be free from stress and what not for 4 days when my boss suddenly dropped the bomb. I was about to relieve the VP’s secretary for 2 days. When you become the VP’s secretary, one day is enough to make you go home, break down and cry for the next 48 hours.
You see, I was hired to do a very a different job scope which I was more than happy to accept and was willing to put the money matters aside since I thought I could learn lots of other things in document control in public listed company environment. Alas, I have learnt nothing more than basics and I have to become “minah dispatch” where I have to run around sending documents to directors (the building is up to 42nd floor and the directors are scattered all over the building), an administrator and a secretary as well, which I really loathe. Me? Secretary? The boss really must be on drugs.
I was early on the 1st day I relieved the secretary for the VP. Since our VP is really a perfectionist which means that I have to boil her water and ensure that it is lukewarm by the time she gets in the office, the newspapers must be laid neatly on her desk in consequence (the star on top followed by daily finance at the bottom), her cups must be dry and clean and pc is on. I was so nervous that I couldn’t stop moving around. There were only 8 people in the office and none of the secretaries worked on that day so I had no one to run to.
As she walked in she looked as if she had woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Not 5 minutes in the office, she already shouted on things that I need to do for her that morning which includes buying her brunch. She wrote down the instructions on how to prepare her sandwich which I had to bring to the cafĆ© downstairs. And yes you guessed it; I had to clean up her mess as well. I had been told by a senior secretary that before there was a girl who reported to work and left the very next day because she couldn’t stand the VP’s behavior. So far, she had about 6 secretaries and only 1 that could stand her and has been her secretary for 6 months now. Wonder what is the secret to be her secretary? Just act like a dog. When she throws thing at you just fetch and after a while when she calls you run back as fast as you could back to her. And yes I was totally exhausted from playing fetch with her for 2 days
I tried to put on some positive attitude before I get to work on the second day since one senior secretary who is on the next cubicle would be in. When I got there she had already helped me to boil the water and everything else so I only had to wait for the VP to come in.
She looked calmer and fresher that morning as she came straight from the gym. I was thinking that she must be on a good mood and it’d be a hell lot easier to work with her that day. I hate it when my thought was proven wrong. I went white when I heard her shouting my name though I was seated right at her door. It turned out that the cleaner had turned on her cup heating pad though there was no water in it and her favourite mug had cracked. I didn’t dare going near her though she asked me to do so that I could see the cracks on her mug for fear that she might throw the mug to my head. I would never want to take such a risk with someone who has a reputation with her staff. And for the rest of the day she had asked me to wash her cups, threw away her food and ran around to send her documents. Nazrul, if you area reading this well I must admit that this one woman really need to get laid so that she wouldn’t be that intense.
Because of the seating arrangement, I have always been mistaken as receptionist and people keep coming to my desk to ask where is this person seating (which I would give a very vague direction like he’s at the back there or just go straight and turn left since I don’t know more than 5 persons other than those in my department) or can you open the door for me please. This is rather annoying especially when my boss wants me to do things urgently and I would have to run to open the door with my access card. Oh by the way I have to use my access card to go into the toilet. Cool huh?
Hari Raya
Nothing new on hari raya at home this year. Kojeh and I decided to go to the surau in our housing area for raya prayer. Well, it was a big mistake. We had never bothered to go to the surau before as we usually prefer to go somewhere else. According to info given by mum, the raya prayer would be held at 8.30am and the kids were so excited to go that they had been ready since 7am.
We were quite early and got to be on the first ‘saf’. Kojeh was relieved since she thought that the surau would be full as we arrived there at 8.30am. Now, this is the bit where we concluded that it was a big mistake to go there. We had been told again and again that we should not brought kak chik which is only 8 years old to the raya prayer since the eldest (makcik-makcik pah bedah kesemuanya) feared that she might interrupted us all. Kojeh whose patience is as thin as mine quickly ushered kak chik to sit at the very end of the saf which was next to the door. I jokingly told Kojeh that if there was another elder persn coming over to talk to us about kak chik, we could just dash off since the door was near.
Then the fashion show began which was quite a delight. It started with Makcik A (name is undisclosed to protect privacy, in case their children happen to read this blog) who went around to seek forgiveness from her friends who happened to be seating next to us. She started of by telling them how she almost have to wear her old clothes since the tailor had yet to finish sewing up her new clothes a day before raya. She the proceeded by telling them that she had to sew it up herself and showed them how good it turned up to be. Then came the best part. Jeng!Jeng!Jeng!.
Makcik X : Amboi! Telekung baru ke nokz? Kilat-kilat gittew. Mak suka!
It would be the first and the last time that we’d go to the surau. Next raya we'll definitely go to the mosque near Kojeh’s house. Free from annoying eldest, drama queen and what not!

Faithful Departed
Meet Uncle Hussain consists of Lan (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Taja (Guitar/Vocals), Afat (Bass/Vocals) and Kudux (Drums)..
Tiada bintangDapat menerangkan hati yang telah dicelah
Bagaiku lumpuh tak mampu berdiri
Aku, tetap begini
Takkan berubah kerna aku tetap aku
Dan alur hidupmu bukanlah aku
Guna hati akal dan fikiranmu
Berbeza
Kau dan juga aku
Dua hati yang tak mungkin bersatu
Adakah aku
Hanya boneka yang sering engkau mainkan
Yang dikawal oleh jari-jarimu
Ku punya hati dan perasaan pernahkah engkau fikirkan
Cukup cukuplah oh cukuplah
Tak tahan tak tahan
Sabarku tak tertahan
Melayan sikapmu perawan
Berbeza berbeza
Kau dan aku berbeza
Kita memang tak serupa
Bebaskan bebaskan
Ku ingin dilepaskan
Kita tidak sehaluan
Cukuplah sudahlah
Sampai di sini saja
Hubungan kita berdua
I had a very close relationship with my Tukwan. When I was small I used to spend my weekends at his place. We would cycled 15kms every week to his favourite day market to see his friends and bought some groceries. Came the day I went to boarding school, he passed me some envelopes with stamps so that I could write to him every week. Well it was way before we had the internet and the mobile phone so among the mean of communications would be writing in He actually wrote more letters to me than my parents. He never failed to send me his letters though there’d be some weeks when I was too busy and couldn’t find the time to write. I still have his letters in my secret chest at home together with some hair pins that he bought when I was small.
During the funeral it was the sunniest day that I could remember with some breeze to soothe us that gathered at the cemetery. The sky was blue with birds chirping at the nearby tree that shading me from the hot sun. As my uncle read out the talqin my mind was processing the images that I could remember of him. When the funeral ended I saw some of Tukwan’s friends that I knew of from my childhood at the cemetery and it was sad to hear them saying to my mum that it was a great loss not only for the family but his friends as well.
To be honest, I was relieved. And I supposed that was why a few close friends were worried that I was so composed when I called them up to tell them the news. No soul could stand seeing him lying on the bed while staring blankly at the ceiling. Tukwan was paralyzed from waist down and had Alzheimer and I believe that god loves him more and that is why he is now in a better place.

Va te faire voir
wish he was my bossWhen I was 1st called in for the interview I was told that the position is as similar as my previous post. At the time I thought well I could learn lots of things as they have ISO this ISO that. The funny thing is my second interview was conducted after I had accepted the job verbally. Odd you say? Wait till you have read more.
In the second interview I had to wait 1 hour for the interviewer and another 1 1/12 hour for interview. Luckily I keep my book handy. I was then asked to describe my job scope in my previous position and I even got my handwriting analyzed by the interviewer which is now my HOD. “waaaaaaaaa you tend to stress on letters like f ar l ar..you must be really go getter right?” I was about to answer yes I have a tendency to stress on these 2 letters because I am most likely to mutter f*** lu under my breath but no, no, no, I politely answered, “Yes, I am such a go getter that will benefit the company and that is why I should be hired” and with that I had drove the final nail of my own coffin. *sigh*
1. If a company is popular and always been mentioned in the news it doesn’t mean that they'd give you a good package
2. Your position’s name is designed to mislead you on your jobscope
Darn!)
It’s kind of bored since there is no I repeat NO CUTE GUY in the same floor which is a very big turn off for yours truly. The good news is in these few weeks a group of lawyers and auditors are there for some corporate exercise so at least I could still have a bit of motivation to go to work everyday. One more thing is that I am in an all girl department which is known as COSEC. Knowing me you would have guessed that I would mispronounce it sooner or later as COSEX. It sounds somewhat of an orgy party don't you think? Luckily I was not charged with sexual harassment act as I had signed an agreement to adhere to the act. Duh!
Books
Managed to finish 3 books this week. I believe that I did a lot of reading to get rid of the stress from this so called stress free job.
1. Talk to the snail by Stephen Clarke
He’s one of my favourite authors. After finishing this book in my humble opinion that those who in contacts with the French could really relate to the book. And not forgetting those sarong party girls who always hunt them down at clubs or anywhere applicable will definitely learn a lot and should be able to come up with somewhat intelligent plot to marry French. But it would still be an enjoyable read especially if you want to learn how to curse in other languages which would benefit you tremendously especially at work as there is a section at every end of the chapters where the author lists down the common phrases used by French.
2. Pontianak with survival guidelines by Nambai
I don’t really read humor books written by Malaysian authors but I think Nambai had made a very good attempt with this book. A must read if you wish to camp in the wood I suppose. There might be some tips that would become handy! Who knows?
3. Malaysian Politicians Say The Darndest Things by Amir Muhammad
If you read Off The Edge then you might have read some of the phrases in the book which was excerpted in the magazine. It’s a collection of quotes from our beloved ministers from over 3 decades. With every quote there would be explanations of how, where and why the quotes were said. It was a great help in order for us to really understand what the quote is about and why it is categorized as darndest. I would have to agree with lots of other Malaysian’s out there that lagu IT is the most annoying song of the 1990s.
Talking about song, I would like to start a campaign to stop radio stations from playing Sean Kingston’s song, Beautiful Girl during the morning rush hour. Really kills my mood ok? We already have Akon why should we need another singer with suara sengau itik serati itu? Hehehehehe
Movies
Nagabonar 2
PLEASE WATCH IT AT THE CINEMA OR EVEN BETTER IF YOU COULD BORROW THE DVD FRO YOUR FRIEND (just like I did hehehe). It’s definitely good. I like! "Apa kata dunia?"
Setinggan
It’s one of my all time fave and watched it while waiting for iftar. Really brought back the memory. Kudos to Aziz Satar for his great effort to direct the movie. Bravo Pak Aziz!

Kisah Tak Sempurna - Samsons
Aku memang tak berhati besar
Untuk memahami
Hatimu disana
Aku memang tak berlapang dada
Untuk menyadari
Kau bukan milikku lagi
Dengar dengarkan aku
Aku akan bertahan sampai kapanpun
Sampai kapanpun
Wow.. wow?
Maafkan aku
Yang tak sempurna tuk dirimu
Usailah sudah kisah yang tak sempurna
Untuk kita kenang
Andai aku dapat merelakan
Setiap kepingan
Butiran kenangan indah
Andai aku sanggup menjalani
Setiap detik
Dan waktu mendatang

Would you like to see the face of death?
Oh Boy, about a month with no updates.
Well, pretty much nothing to write about. I’m leading a very simple and mundane life, with a very healthy dose of outing with friends throughout the week. A friend said to me the other day : I wonder how you could still be composed after not having a job all this while. Well I suppose I have passed the stress phase which the shelf life would only last about 12 days if I’m not mistaken. I suppose I have gone through too many phases and what’s left of me would be a small sense of hope that I hold on tightly and guarded with my life.
A few incidents happened that I believe would be worth sharing
It was raining heavily that day. It was so heavy that you couldn’t really make out things in front of you. I was crossing the road to meet up with my little miss sunshine who was in the clinic not that far from where I parked the car. I looked to my right and my brain had sent out the signal that it was safe to cross the road. Alas, after a few steps I heard a screeching sound followed by a thud.
Yes, I had been hit by a van and at that time I remembered what Emma Ai (Hell Girl) said again and again: would you like to see the face of death?. Only after a while I realized that the children inside the van was screaming after seeing me froze right in front of the van while holding my umbrella. It was not a happy sight I reckon. I supposed the driver didn’t see me crossing the road at that time. I would like to apologize to the kids in the van for such a traumatic experience on that day. But please don’t contact Emma Ai to seek your revenge towards me! I left the scene soaking wet with some bruises and never felt so alive. Perhaps, it was a sign from God : Life is not a dog’s life. Put a brave face and embrace it!
Not only I had been hit by a van but I had also been conned during my job interview. I felt humiliated at first but come to think of it, it realized that it was part of a funny business. It all started when I attended an interview as an event executive and managed to land myself the so called second interview (notice the word so called).
So the day came for the so called second interview and I had a hunch that something would terribly be wronged. When I was there for the first interview the place was so empty that they only had a few chairs and a receptionist cubicle. I asked the receptionist about this and she coolly said that they was supposed to satrt renovating soon enough. I was introduced to my so called trainer by my interviewer in the 1st round of interview when I got there. I was then informed to go to Kepong with the trainer to start my 2nd round of interview which would be the whole day. I was supposed to show my willingness and drive to work with the company. The trainer was a chatty gal and I was not that eager to share so much info about myself. Besides she had a very funny accent that I couldn’t really grasp (my brain is not as active as it used too. So if I took more than 30 seconds to reply your answer don’t blame me. Blame my brain neurons instead!)
When we got to Kepong we had our breakfast in a Chinese restaurant that really was packed. It sort of like brought back some memories that I had when I was little. I was brought up in a housing area which had many Chinese as it was actually a Chinese village that had been developed as a housing estate. My dad used to take me to the Chinese restaurants around the housing area when he wanted to hang out with his Chinese friends from the neighbourhood. My favourite drink back then before I was introduced to star bucks and coffee bean, would be kopi o beng. I would waited patiently for my dad and his friends to finish up their drinks so that I could get back to the house to see my friends and tell them about the pork’s and the ducks hanging in front the shop that I saw at the Chinese restaurants. Hahaahahahhahaha. ( No offence to any pork’s and ducks lovers out there.)
And my hunch was right. There is something fishy about the whole thing called 2nd interview. I was supposedly did the market survey hence selling the perfume to the customers. Well, the job is exactly like the salesperson selling perfume and what not to you while you’re having your meal at the mamak stall or wherever applicable. I was dumbfounded and thanks to my brain I managed to come out with an idea. I told the trainer that I had to leave early since I had to attend another interview in KLCC. Before I left the trainer said that she was quite pissed off since I didn’t have any questions to ask about the job. I tried hard to mum the words that one doesn’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that one had been conned with the glossy ads about the job. But hey it’s not so me to be rude towards others. So I said to her nicely and patiently that since I had a background in retail so I could easily grasp the idea of how to do the job. With that answer I was off the hook and I drove back home to my little miss sunshine and we had a good laugh.
After seeing how stressful and at times embarrassing the work could be, I would have to take my hat off to the trainer and the other guy who had been doing this job for 3 months. May they all become a successful entrepreneur soon!
Books
I’ve been spending my time this wek reading 2 Malay novels.
Aliya Elyana
I finished the book in 1 seating. It was a good writing with some sense of humor and great graphics as well. The book is mainly about a twin who have special gift (ESP not to be confused with ESPN you dork). They both have a clash personality but in the end they overcome their differences to save each other’s butts. A good read I must say but I don’t really like the ending (somebody’s going to kill me for saying that).
Konspirasi
It’s actually an e book but had been printed by Karyanet as a limited edition. As the writer said when he read the prolog in the 3rd Maskara last week, the prolog was actually introducing one of the characters in the book. Very well said I suppose. I’m no big fan of conspiracy theory or any other theories about how the alien would be saving us on the dooms day like in scientology (except for when David Duchovny was in X-Files because he managed to convince me about the UFO and everything just by looking into my eyes literally). It was fast paced and not tends to be draggy so I suppose that was why I managed to finish it up in no time (or mainly because I don’t have any other things to do besides of reading hehehe).
To those who had helped me out by sending in smses and emails about the vacancies posted by their friends’ or in their office etc, thank you so much. I don’t think that I’d be able to repay you guys but I believe that God will definitely repay you in so many ways.

Epigram? No?
This isn’t just an epigram - life is much more successfully looked at from a single window, after all.
F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Great Gatsby
I was walking down the street on a Tuesday afternoon the other day to find something to munch. It was a hot day I must say. Before I continue i would like to thank the Brits for colonizing Malaya thus leaving behind a very much appraised legacy: minum teh di waktu petang. The most celebrated time of the day for those who work in the government. But I hope with the increment that they had recently, they’d have no more time to have a very long tea break as last I heard Pak Lah had asked them to increase their productivity as well.
During my quest for the crunchy keropok lekor, suddenly I heard a cry of joy from a bunch people from the other side of the road. A few people were gathering around a man in a car. I finally knew why when a man with so much gusto in his voice was congratulating the man in the car for he had won a 10k lucky draw.
For a moment, I wished I was the man who had been dubbed as a lucky draw winner though it was a rip off for I miss something that we call hope, dearly.

Knickerbocker glory anyone?
There’s so much hype about 070707. What with the live earth concert on TV, people getting married everywhere in the world, yada yada yada, and what not. Just to blend in with lots of other human in the blogging world, then I suppose I should write something for the sake of having a posting on 070707. So I decided to write in Bahasa Malaysia as the Merdeka Day is just around the corner. Well, here it goes.
Nota :
1.Masa menulis nie aku alih bahasakan ayat yg terbentuk di otak dlm bahasa Inggeris ke bahasa Malaysia. Tak perlu hiraukan kesalahan tatabahasa aku kerana aku tahu yang aku memang tak faham bahasa Malaysia.
2. Fadz, jangan saman saya.
Kenapa saya Tidak Boleh Tidur
Dah 4 malam aku tak dapat tidur. Entah kenapa agaknya. Selepas 2 hari aku rasa otak aku makin lambat pick-up.
1. Tekanan perasaan akibat tidak mendapat sebarang panggilan temuduga
Aku rasa mungkin ada betulnya jugak. Berpinar mata aku baca iklan kat surat khabar dan internet. Setakat The Star tu, pagi-pagi Sabtu tu aku dah turun ke 7-11 rumah aku gi beli.Takpe, aku sabar lagi nie sesabarnya Sabariah dalam filem P Ramlee yg aku tak pernah ingat tajuknya tu. Usaha itu tangga kejayaan.
2. Aku rasa ko perlu kawin segera sebab ko sunyi duduk rumah sensorang
3. Hantu dr rumah sebelah yg dah lama kosong tu bosan jadi dia datang lepak rumah ko.
Agaknya dia nie selalu tengok Seekers, makanya dia mengeluarkan hipotesis macam nie terutamanya bila aku beritahu yg kadang2 bulu roma aku tetiba meremang di waktu malam. Kadang-kadang aku dengar bunyi anjing melolong padahal kawasan rumah aku takde anjing. Bercakap tentang Seekers nie pulak, pada aku benda yg paling ngeri dalam Seekers tu adalah pengacaranya sebab sepanjang yg aku tonton 3,4 episod musim baru nie takde pun sukarelawan yg dapat tengok hantu. Kot episode yg aku tak tengok tu tetibe ada yg nampak hantu, tak tau le pulak aku. Dah le pakai baju putih ngan mekap gothic yg tak menjadi tu pastu kontrol2 suara nak buat suara ngeri tp jadi cam suara mak nyah.Ngeri!(kepada mak nyah2 di luar sana yg terbaca blog mak ni, jgn marah nok. Mak takde maksud nak kutuk2 korang ok? Mak suka baca blog nyah2 semua..Best Mak suka! Teruskan usaha menulis blog korang yg best itewww).
Sangat potong stim! Patutnya malam tadi aku plaster jek mulut dia dengan scotch tape atau gam gajah. Alhamdulillah, dapat semula salah satu nikmat dunia yakni tidur. Harap2 malam nie aku dapat tidur lagi.
Keluarga
Selang 3 hari ahli keluarga aku akan bergilir-gilir menelefoni aku. Dulu mak aku akan telefon aku paling kerap 2 kali sebulan. Gebob tu tak payah cerita lah kan? Setahun tu ada le 5 kali dia telefon. Tu pun kalau dia nak ajak aku kongsi hadiah hari ibu atau hadiah hari jadi mak ngan aruah abah aku. Kojeh tu selalu jugak contact aku, biasalah ada jek gossip yg dia nak kongsi temasuklah gossip cikgu2 di daerah umah kiatorg.
Mungkin keluarga aku takut aku mengalami kemurungan agaknya. Tak pun diaorang takut aku terasa nak bunuh diri. Sebab tu la aku tak suka tengok buletin utama atau berita-beritayg sewaktu dengannya. Tiap hari asyik tunjuk berita org bunuh diri sebab kecewa dan kes org kene bunuh akibat cemburu atau keluarga bunuh diri takutkan along. Macam mana la tak terlintas di fikiran mak aku yg aku (di akui yg aku mmg rasa agak stress tp tak mungkin aku bunuh diri.Terlampau banyak benda lain yg boleh aku buat dan aku tak fikir aku mau mati sia-sia. Macam kawan-kawan aku kata : ko belum rasa nikmat dunia yg paling best muahahahhahaha. Paling penting, personaliti aku tidak sekali-kali menunjukkan aku memenuhi ciri-ciri org yg cenderung membunuh diri.hehehehe) mungkin bunuh diri sebab telampau disogokkan berita-berita macam ni. Anda berjaya membuatkan kitar semula menjadi cool n hype)
Buku
Banyak masa aku di habiskan dengan membaca.
1. I Am Muslim oleh Dina Zaman.
2. Bila Tuhan Berbicara oleh Faisal Tehrani
Aku tak habis baca lagi sebab aku tengah sibuk baca buku lain. Baru 100 muka surat tapi isunya menarik.
Period! (apa yek period dlm bahasa melayu?sapa tau nie?yg aku tau satu jek hehehehhe)
Oh!Tak sangka panjang pulak aku tulis.
Tapi takpe.
Selamat 070707
